Today our team went to work on the church building. With a small team it would seem like we
would get little done, but we were able to crank out a ton of work. Whether it was laying brick on
scaffolding or digging dirt, we were able to make a big dent in one day. Having an “older” aged team, we
have been working together well.
Everyone had a task to work on.
Jared and Kevin had the opportunity today to see the school
and church in Membrillal. They
were able to see the roof that was installed by the Risen Life team 2 years
ago. They also had the opportunity
to have a video conference with Merari and talk about the needs that Risen Life
might be able to help Iglesia Galilea with.
This has been a great beginning of our mission trip. We are looking forward to the rest of
this week as Kevin and Jared hold a pastoral conference on Tuesday and Jennifer
presents the “Transformation Principle” book and class to the women in the
Iglesia Galilea church. We will
also hold a one day VBS at the school in Membrillal on Friday.
Please continue to pray for the people of Guatemala, many
lives have been affected by the volcano eruption.
